10/10 recommend. Was referred by Scott’s in Leucadia & so pleased. My check engine light & other warning lights had come on so I got a diagnosis & they remedied the problem. The problem was a rat who chewed my spark plug wires. Not only did they perform the repair they also cleaned the rat debris 🙏🏼 They gave recommendations to keep the rats out of the engine as well!!! Another added bonus, they gave me friendly advice on what to focus on before selling my car and what not to spend the money on! Thank you Moonlight Motors!!!! I am on vacation and my clutch went out. I checked the Yelp reviews in the Encinitas area and chose Moonlight Motors. I called Moonlight on Wednesday and talked to Ryli. We discussed my tight schedule because I needed to drive back to the Bay Area on Saturday. I had my car towed to Moonlight on Wednesday and Ryli had the diagnostic done on Wednesday, earlier than expected. Ryli ordered the parts so work could start on Thursday. Ryli had told me that my Forester was a more time-consuming job than most, but she believed that the work would be completed by Friday, end of day, so I could drive my car home by Saturday. Ryli kept me informed how work was progressing. Work was completed by Friday, end of day, but the car would not start. I was not able to drive my Forester home as planned. The following week Moonlight did a test on a sensor that was required to start my car. Moonlight found that the sensor was bad. Moonlight provided a new sensor at no extra cost, and I also got my AAA discount. I found that Moonlight Motors was someone I would trust with work on my car.

I grew up in Encinitas and this place reminds me of the way things were when I was growing up here. Family owned, super kind, honest, not pushy at all. Rylie helped me make my appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and a courtesy review of my 2014 Pathfinder. It was quick, efficient, thorough and high tech. A way more pleasant experience than going to the Nissan dealership. They found an oil leak and explained what it means and what I need to do for it. So hard sell to do anything on the spot. I will definitely take our other cars there going forward. A really positive experience.
