I have been going to Moonlight motors since I moved To Encinitas from NH. I was looking for a small family run business. I liked the reviews and thought I would check them out. I have continued trusting them with the services of my vehicles for over 10 years. I feel like members of the family when I talk with Marty and Ken. They send me a checklist of what needs to be done immediately and what can wait. I value their work and have recommended them to others

I'm so happy to have found Moonlight Motors. I love supporting a long time neighborhood business and most importantly, Marty and his team have worked with absolute integrity and professionalism. The first time I used them I called for an oil change and Marty worked with me and my tricky schedule to make it work. When I went to pick the car up I received a summary of the car's status and a heads-up of a few things to monitor, including some free advice about my battery. The second time I took my car in was because my brakes were making a grinding noise, which is not obviously not good. After initially being told that I was going to need to replace everything, I got a call from Marty that things weren't as bad as they thought, and thus the scope and cost of the job was greatly reduced. I'm so appreciative of the integrity and high quality of work at Moonlight Motors -- I'm bringing my car here from now on and am telling all of my local friends about my positive experiences as well!

As always, this is the BEST auto shop I have ever used. I wish I had found them years ago as I believe I would have saved a lot of money. The service from the time you call through all the repairs is outstanding. They are fair, honest, and reliable. I give them my highest recommendation.

Friendly, efficient and prompt service Marty is very responsive and helpful. I appreciate that he delineates between what is absolutely necessary to keep the car running well and what can wait.

Came in for a diagnostic for suspicious water pump noise. Received a very thorough and detailed diagnostic for the whole vehicle - a great value for the diagnostic charge. The day I dropped off they were running a little behind, but Marty the owner more than made up for that with the personal attention, prompt return of calls, and follow up details on what they found in their diagnosis and even offered advice on how I could repair the problem myself if I wanted to. Really impressed with the high level of customer service and attention from this family run business.
